battlefield

yesterday we just did a steamboat at home,
hehe, 12 guys, standin around a small table,
and the steamboat…use traditional coal punya,
so warm, and so high, haha!
 
what a party!
 
it feels so good,
although it’s hot, sweating everywhere,
and very mafan,
too many people, and juz one bowl,
so we cook many rounds,
in between, we juz sit around in the living room,
talk, eat, make fun, lol~
 
our house became a battlefield,
wtf, so much mosquito.
after the dinner,
after we did the cleaning of "courpse",
the whole house is like…wtf, trapped with poison gas,
and the victims, none other than both party,
we mammals, and insects…
both side 死伤惨重, 它们死我们伤…

sarawak…a nice place

went to Kenny’s house, we are having a BBQ party tonite.
wow, this is the first time we see sarawakians start a fire,
they are skilled.
in just 10 minutes, the fire is up,
and they dun even need a fire-seed!
 
unlike us, people here BBQ chicken wing, they juz penggang,
they dun use what BBQ stick.
it’s more easier…
and, they dunno what is 锡柏纸…

Kenny share with us their home-made wine…
for me, a non-alcohol person…dislikes it of course…
but, to 应酬, took a tiny sip…
well…
i really dun like alcohol…so…
no comment…

sarawak really is a nice place, compare with jb.
peaceful, relaxing.
at night, you can even feel the tropical breeze.
the sky is clear, you can see the bright moon, and sometimes, stars.
but…
really…
it would be perfect if here doesnt have so much mosquitos…

the sarawakian have their own language,
they call it sarawak 话, or sarawak malay.
and most locals here can speak, or at least understand iban language.
Kenny is one, mix-blood of a chinese and an iban.
whew, i really cant understand what they say sometimes when they use their native language here…
 
the local natives here isnt same as what we west malaysians imagined.
sometimes, you cant even differentiate the people here.
the iban here, some looks like chinese, some looks like malay.
but they all communicate with their language, or english.
some may understand chinese, but they cant read or write.

i may not be a filial, or loyal person…
i…do not feel homesick, at all…
i even wish, i can live here from now on,
and never go back to that…dreaded homeland…
 
sorry about that, but…
i dun feel any proud that i’m from jb, i’m from foon yew or what,
after knowing how sarawak here is…

home @ miri

First week had passed,
well, can say, i adopted the environment here already.
this week was easy,
nothing much to do.
 
life here is simple, yet challenging.
most of the time we spent on campus or at home.
(hehe, the curtin villa we call it our home now, fast huh?)
din go to town this week,
but, hoho, the Eiffel tower is goin to have a BBQ gatherin tomolo.
lookin forward to it.

well…erm…that was easy,
everything we already learnt them durin junior time…
what (a+b)²=a²+2ab+b² thing…
 
the software technology class yesterday…
just…two…students…with one lecturer…in the whole computer lab…

the other student is from melaka 培风, and is also a band member!
haha!
what a coincidence.

lecturer hunt

今天原本是没有课的, 不过我这个傻子跑去学校上 lab…
= =
 
去到 computer lab 等, 等了是多分钟才自觉今天没有上课…
walao~
我竟然忘记掉, first week, engineering student no labs and tutorials…
然后, engineering 也包括 science 在内…
= =
 
七早八早, 在 computer lab, 上网…
做功课…
我什么时候变到那么勤劳啦?
下星期一才交的功课我竟然现在就开始做了?
呵呵…我变了…
(其实是环境所逼, computer lab 的电脑没有东西玩…:P)
 
一个小时, 把 BIS 的功课, 五面要找的资料找完, 做完…
er…是有一点点满足感啦…

早上的 lab 我傻傻去等就算了,
中午的 lab 我竟然又再次做傻子, 跑去等…
我白痴啊~
其实今天我可以不用去学校的咯!

去找 lecturer, 超级难找…
要找三个, 前面两个都不在 office…
一进 lecturer office, 还蛮紧张的,
一见到 engineer 的 leturer, 还紧张到讲英文口吃…
七嘴八舌讲到一半, 他电话响, 然后…他竟然在电话上讲华语, sien 死…

分了 group…(我是 engineerin maths 唯一的 non-engineer)
还是找不到 BIS 跟 ST 的老师, 就…回去先吧, 迟点再来…
 
回去玩了几场 o2jam, 又回学校去.
也还是找不到老师…
wtf! 他们都跑哪里去啦?
又…跑回去 computer lab…
在里面 email 他们…
 
email 了, 顺便上一下网, 又回去找看他们在不在…
结果还是不在…
我就看到 timetable 上等下有其中一个 lecturer 有课,
就打算, 先回去先, 等多一下他课完了直接去课室找他, 但是…
bas 跑掉了…
又要等了…
= =
 
唉~
碰碰运气, 再回去找看他们在不在吧…
 
…
 
啊哈哈~
还真天助我也! 老师有在!!
 
BIS 不可能换时间了, 因为…clash 的只有我一个,
要是他为我而换时间, 会弄到更多人 clash…
所以…要看 ST 那边的 lecturer 怎样了…
要是他那边也还不到, 那…他就 suggest 我…
withdraw 这个 sem, 选别的 unit, 然后下个 sem 才回来上…
唉~
不过, 这个 lecturer 也真不错, 很关心学生…
希望 ST 可以换得到时间咯…

直接从 school of commerce 走去 school of engineering,
说近不近, 说远也不远的…
这个 head of science department 真的很难找,
连那支 tiang 都会讲…
就…祝我好运吧…

好久没有运动了, 肥肉都开始堆积了…
也许大家看不出吧, 因为我的肥肉都堆积在大脑里…
最明显的就是我反应会迟钝,
尤其是玩 o2jam 的时候…
所以…
刚刚跟 housemate 打篮球,
超久没有运动了, 虽然没打几下就累了, 不过…
流汗真是爽!!!
不过…我们就整间都住臭男人了, 哈哈!
跟当年兵营一样, 臭男人都住在一起…

free-time comment

today whole day free,
and, hehe, can online le, no more empty time lo~
but…the line today is somehow, slow…
wonder why…
or…is this normal?
hope not…
 
in my room, when i close the door, it will slow down…
and, if i take my laptop to the living room,
it will be faster…
then, very omg la, you mean i have to go outside everytime i wanna online?
><
 
ok, let’s say about my strange classes…
 
well, i’m a strange people, taking strange course.
here, they split the school into two,
which are school of engineering and school of business…
then, my course, computer science, is under school of engineering…
 
ok, now the strangest thing.
this sem, i have 4 courses need to credit for.
Software Technology — this is quite normal, i think…
 
Statistical Data Analyasis — wtf, this is for geologist? i’m the onl non-geologist in the class…
 
Business Information System — then again, i’m the only non-commerce student in the class…
 
Engineering Mathematics — i haven attend this class yet, first class is at friday…wonder how is it…well, let’s hope to see some of my course-mate there…

then i have to notify the lecturer, which i do not even met him before…
 
after the first update, then there is a clash in my classes….
and…is a clash between two school…
business and science…
wtf, i have to meet lecturer from two school?

The O-Week

The first week for me is the Orientation week,
or by short, we call it O-week.
It’s quite a stupid week, but, haha, that was fun.
 
At first, we were saperated into groups,
and for a group, we have to think of a group name.
then siapa tahu, later those things are all related to the group name!!!
crazy, my group name was Eiffel Tower…

come on, imagine how our group cheer was!

the SOAR advisors, all are volunteers from curtin,

just can say, it was fun.

something about miri

miri is a nie place,
although it has been rainin everyday for the last few days,
we could see rainbow almost everyday.
just last week, i saw rainbow for more than 3 times already.
 
 
in the market here, they sell strange foods, especially fruits here.
you can never see these things in west malaysia,
(or at least i never seen before)
got watermelon so small, they sell RM1 for one.
 
 
fruits, especially bananas here.
haha, i can’t describe, you see for yourself…
they got big one, red one, and claw-like shape…
 
 
our campus is very far from town,
and their town here…really cant compete with jb cs…
but, once you live in here,
wow, you really can feel the…erm…how do you say…
kampung feel ba…
 
you dun have the mood to go out everyday,
and, not really 空虚, except sometimes nothin to do, and cant online…
 
our tv here got 300+ channels!!!
but…all are china channels…
 
ok, i think that’s all for living for now…
there are so many thing i wanted to post up here,
but…haha, i try my best.

finally, i can online!!!

past few days, did soooo much things,
always wanted to share with you guys, but well…
it’s been a week since i last online…
the network now finally can be used,
and is very very fast now.
maybe is because not much people know the network is up now,
so…i shall…wahahahahaha for now,
sooner or later, the network will slow down…i guess…

i have arrived at miri sarawak,
and now is stayin in the imperial hotel.
after check-in the villa,
tried out the internet there, and i can’t access internet there.
dunno what should i do, asked 诗娟 about it.
She said i need to apply for something before i can gain access to the internet.
well, that’s…very…incovenient for me…
 
after this post, i dunno how long will i be updatin…
the network there…i’m not sure…
sure hope i can have my own private streamyx there…
i dun care the price…
